With proofreading and correction assignments I work on the following:

• I verify the grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalisation and more; but also consistent and appropriate terminology.

• I ensure that every sentence of the content corresponds with the source text.

• If the sentence structure or word order from the source language in the translation has been adopted, and results in unnatural or incorrect use of the language, then it needs to be revised. The end result will be a document with common, correct idiom in the target language.

• In addition, I pay particular attention to the style.
